This weekend

It’s a winning weekend!

The Peak is giving away Black Keys tickets and throwing in a key to the 1994 van – fun! I don’t know if you are supposed to call as soon as the second song plays, or if you have to wait until the songs are over. If you know, let me know!

The back to back songs will happen:

11:40 – 12

9:45 – 10:05
3:20 – 3:40

CFOX is also giving away Black Keys tickets, but you will have to listen all day – I have no idea what time they will do it. My guess would be sometime between 1 and 4.

Listen for the 1K artist on Zed at 11, 2, and 4. The Monday questions about the artist have thus far been about lyrics, so note the song that they play and have some idea what they’re about. Last week I knew who the artist was but hadn’t heard which songs they played, so I went onto Zed’s site and looked up “Recently Played”, where they have a list of all songs played every day. Well, those smarty pants omitted the Weekend Artist’s songs on their lists!!! I will try to catch the song names this weekend, but I know for sure I’m going to be missing the 11am today (going to be at a haunted house) and the 4 (going to be trick or treating), and I’ll miss the 2pm tomorrow (a generous follower offered us tickets to the VSO Kids Koncert!!! We are super excited to go!!!)

If you happen to catch the song names and feel like sharing, please tweet or email them to me.

Probably there are other things to win – Fright Night tickets and whatnot – but I don’t have time to listen today. I’d like to save my win for something BIG (although with most contests, you can still enter even if you’ve won within 30 days but your prize was worth less than $1000). I’ve got my fingers crossed for next week:

One Direction tickets on QMFM
All-inclusive in Mexico with Beat
Antigua trip on Jack
Money on Gold Digger
Fleetwood Mac tickets on LG

Since we switched to Shaw, I never get through on my landline anymore. Sucks. But I will keep trying, because what’s the alternative? Without hope of winning stuff, I would waste away into blandness and ennui…
