Friday Dec 4th

Posted on Dec 4, 2015

Hey there! I’ve missed you!! How have you been? Have you won anything this week??

It was nice to take a few days off and not think about contests at all, and it seems to have been the perfect week to do so! I’m unable to win on Peak or Zed, JOS and Morning Glory are away, and nobody’s calling names. It’s like a vacation!! But next week it’s GAME ON again, so I’m going to coast for this final weekday…

Have you ever been to Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, just past Seattle? If you’ve got kids, you simply MUST go. The place is pure magic. My kids had such an amazing time that my daughter cried for 2 hours after we got home – the hardest part of having the best time of your life is dealing with coming down the mountain! It truly was the best time of their little lives, and I can’t even tell you about how special it was – it was THAT special!!

Last night I had a funny dream – I sat down next to a beggar and asked him what he wanted for Christmas. He was young-ish, maybe early 20’s, and he looked so sad. He didn’t know what to say, just kind of shrugged. I said “if you could go home, would you?” and he nodded. I said, if I can get you a plane ticket home, will you use it? He looked at me with eyes filled with hope and nodded. I said “I may have good news for you next week! I’ll come find you if I can get you a plane ticket!” Unfortunately the dream ended before I found out where “home” was, but I woke up thinking “I have to get my entry in at the Peak for this guy!” LOL!

If I could connect people in shelters with their loved ones around the globe, that would be the greatest gift. Even just a skype call – the family could see that they’re okay, and the person on this end could see that they’re still loved. How wonderful! Who wants to go downtown and set up a “Call Home” booth with me? We can hook up to free wifi at some coffee shop that will sponsor us, then we’ll use our own phones to skype or Facetime the family of anyone who comes to the booth. Not only would that be SO fun, that would also make for happy hearts (ours included)!

On that note, go nominate someone HERE and maybe the Peak will choose them to send home. I wonder if they could just fly in some snow so we could have a white christmas… prolly not…

It’s Friday! That means there’ll be a Lotto Max ticket on the blog, and a ticket on Facebook/Twitter. Come find them sometime between 9 and noon. I’m babysitting 11:30-3 so I will probably have them by 11.

Keep Trying and Happy Dialling!
