The personal bit:

Does anyone else get “Vancouver Guilt” when the sun shines? “Vancouver Guilt” is the shame that you feel when you have not gone out and enjoyed the ONE sunny day you will have all week. Or all month! I get so comfortable staying in all day that I don’t WANT to go out – even when it’s sunny! I have a million things I could be doing out there – gardening, taking the kids to the park, painting the fence, playing with the dogs, riding bikes, etc etc etc. But nope! When the sun shines, all I want to do is continue sitting in my house, staring at my computer, puttering about. And then I get a raging guilty feeling, like I’m wasting a rare opportunity to get the kids out of the house. Despite my pleas, they are reluctant to go play outside if I am in the house. “Go jump on the trampoline!” I urge. “Nah.” is the sullen answer. It’s no fun to play in the yard without a friend. But you can bet your boots that the second I step out into the yard, those two are on the trampoline until the second I walk back into the house! HARUMPH! Why don’t these little buggers do as I say and not as I do?! 😏😄

Stuff that happened:

I’m a little late on this, but it has come to may attention that you will no longer be “Philled in” at Jack! Their long-time promo god Phil (and the voice of some of the best commercials) has been let go. He was there since 2009. Also let go was Aaron, the promo dude at Kiss since 2011. They were both let go on the 3rd of this month. Both are stellar peeps and will be scooped up by some station or another soon. I will miss Phil’s commercials though…

JRFM’s hint was unproductive. Stupid YCWT game! *sigh* I’ll leave this part in from yesterday: let me just give you the answer: Bryan Cranston. He is talking about a character that he’s playing named Sam, in Cranston’s first credited role on a movie called Crisis Counselor: Bisexual Marriage made in 1982. I don’t know how they expected people to get the answer to that without the help of dear old Google. I didn’t figure it out myself, someone much smarter than me gave me the answer (thank you!) And now that you know, it’ll still take a month to finish this damned game! 😤😆

The 4pm Beat The Bank jackpot was the highest so far this week – $7000 ! Unfortunately the player tapped out at $600. Ah well, that’s still a nice amount.

There are now 4 people in the draw for the vacation on CFOX.

Willy is disappointed that more people haven’t taken the cash, so on Monday he was given the go-ahead to give away a BIG chunk. Unfortunately, Chuck chickened out and took the first offer of $1500. It might’ve gone up to $3000 or even higher! But hell, I probably would’ve tapped out at $1500 too. That’s a LOT of money!!

ZFX was not solved. Matty B was right – this IS a tough one! I’m going to stick to my “ball bouncing” guess for now, until I come up with something better. I haven’t given it much thought lately – these damned puppies are keeping me hopping!!! Feed, clean poop and pee, play. Feed, clean poop and pee, play. Feed, clean poop and pee, play. Wash the towels. REPEAT. Ugh.

The times that Peak will play the jet sound are:

Between 6:35am-6:55am
Between 10:05am-10:25am
Between 3:35pm-3:55pm
Between 8:05pm-8:25pm

Keep your ears open for two back-to-back Bieber songs on Kiss.

I had a very interesting conversation (via FB messaging) with a previous big winner. I will write a blog post about it because it was fascinating! I should have that done sometime today, barring any sudden sunny breaks requiring outings thanks to “Vancouver Guilt”… 😋
