Friday June 10th

Posted on Jun 10, 2016

This will be the last post for this week – the kids and I are going away for the weekend and I won’t have internet (except *maybe* on my phone!) By the time we get back on Sunday evening, I will be in withdrawals – I may frantically write two or three posts back-to-back! LOL!

Things that happened:

CFOX played Give It Away at 8:45am and they Gave It Away to lucky texter 99, Tara. I was a bit disconcerted when they said she texted in 13 times – I swore the rules said you could only enter ONCE! I emailed their promo peeps and they said they were looking into it. We can expect more clarification of the rules during the Jeff O’Neil Show this morning. I’ll be listening! Obviously Tara gets to keep her $5000, but it’ll be good for the rest of us to know exactly HOW we can enter. Probably you can text multiple times but only from ONE phone. If your name shows up from more than one cell phone number, or a phone and an email, you’ll be disqualified. We’ll see…

Somebody FINALLY won You Can’t Win This on JRFM! The answer to the final question “21 is as low as it gets” is this: 21 is the least drawn number in Lotto Max. DAMN that took forever!! I hope they never play it again. Ever.

Numeris posted their radio ratings and I got to geek out on them. You can read about that HERE if you’re interested in seeing how your favourite station is doing. Keep in mind that I’m no expert, and I have only a base understanding of where the numbers come from. But it doesn’t take a genius to figure out what the numbers mean!

Today:

LG’s playlist doesn’t show that the back-to-backs played on Thursday. If that’s true, then it’ll happen today sometime. Probably.

Listen for the Peak’s Free Ride artist.

At 7:10 you can find out where Clay will be busking with those Keith Urban tickets, then show up when they tell you to – the time changes. While this contest has me mildly interested because I *love* Keith, it’s not worth the hassle. If they changed the rules and instead had Clay busking for a full half hour outside an unnamed liquor store, it might be worth the drive. Everybody that found him could enter their name in a draw, and that would make it so much fairer. There are a lot of hurt feelings when the tickets are given away to the first person there. This way, people wouldn’t have to run over others to get there first. Maybe next time?

It’s Lotto Max Friday! Come find our ticket on Facebook or Twitter. I’ll be posting it before 8:30am hopefully.
