Things That Happened:
I had a dream on the weekend that Jack FM was changed to a sports station and Rick Lee moved to CFOX. I woke up wondering where Kiah and Tara Jean ended up. LOL! This dream was surely spurred by the announcement of Jack FM starting to air Canucks games. Rogers bought the rights from TSN 1040 and now you have to listen to the game at 96.9 instead. I still can’t wrap my head around that…
You may have noticed I didn’t post a schedule on Friday. I was busily writing my new book (nothing to do with contests) and completely forgot about the schedule! There wasn’t anything to update anyway, and I didn’t have a Lotto Max ticket to share. Our ticket-sharing friend tried to text me one as they normally do, but because my phone got disconnected on Thursday, I didn’t receive the text. I contacted them via Facebook later in the day so they emailed me a ticket Friday night, but the draw was already over so I didn’t bother posting it. Sorry about that! Being poor sucks.
Oh yeah, so don’t try to text me. My iMessaging still works though, so if you have an iPhone, I will receive the message provided I’m on wifi. Which I am, because I’m not leaving the house again. Possibly ever.
I spent the weekend writing my book and didn’t listen to ZFX a single time. It’s spring break and the kids are home all day, so I’m not sure I’ll have time to wander around aimlessly trying to recreate the sound, but I’ll do my best to come up with some good guesses today.
New This Week:
RHCP Puzzle: The Peak has ONE pair of front row tickets for Saturday’s Red Hot Chili Peppers concert. They will play a montage of 7 RHCP songs and the first person to name all the songs in order wins the tickets. They will take ONE player today at 7:30am, and if that person doesn’t win the tickets, they’ll play again tomorrow at the same time. If the tickets haven’t been won by Friday, they’ll likely take caller after caller until someone gets it right. If you want these tickets, best to record today’s play and get all the answers for tomorrow’s play…
Name That Tune: Jack is playing Name That Tune for the next 6 weeks. They will play a cue to TEXT at 7:10, 8:10, 12:10, 4:10, and 5:10. Text the word “play” to 969007, and if they call you back, you get to play. They play a clip of a song and if you can name the title and the artist, you win $250. One play each week will be worth $1000, but the other 24 plays will be worth $250. If you don’t win, you can play again, but the odds of them calling you back a second time are pretty astronomical, I’d say. The only saving grace for me is I don’t have to keep track of anything in this game. I’ll listen when I can, but that won’t be very often since it happens at the exact same time as every other effing thing!
Oodles of Ed Sheeran tickets are out, and there may be some more RHCP tickets floating around. I’ll let you know if I hear of any, like maybe on CFOX or somewhere.
Clay and Karen are away this week, so Jaxon will be filling in each morning. The Brain Surgery jackpot is now $420, but we only know 5 out of the 9 questions so far.
